Can you name the problems? Other than the skinny rim will cause center tire wear on the 900s, , and the wider rim more shoulder wear on the 7.50.

Oh, by the way, the wider ring used on the 6.5 rims was designed in the time of cotton ply tires. Is anybody here running 9.00 cotton ply tires on the 5.5 rims? Not saying there is a problem with that, only that modern tires (and modern rim designs) don't seem to need the wider rings. Frinstance, the LAV wheels that came mounted on my 11.00 Michelins only have a skinny ring, looks like the 5.5 PW rings.
