I seldom disagree with you Norm but in this case I do (& I will document it if you make me lol) 3000 miles highway driving @ 60 mph is 50 hours (i think) so one would change oil every 2 days???? Is my math wrong????? Oil doesn`t wear out, just gets contaminated. So where does the dirt come from to score the bearings? HMMMM maybe from the dirty funnel or oilspout?? No it just doesn`t make sence to this old fart. I saw too many slant six taxis that seldom shut off with a zillion miles & just wore out rings. Never scored bearings & some of those owners were so cheep they hated changing oil or even losing the down time to do it.They maybe did it when they had time. GB
