That's all well and good, but what I took issue with is Bruce's claim that "all new stainless has changed it's alloy to remove this little tiny toxic component." Since most stainless is 15-20% chromium, this "little tiny toxic component" that he claims will poison the derusting solution can't be chrome. For one thing 15-20% isn't a "little tiny" amount, and for another, all the standard stainless steel alloys are still being made just as they've always been, with the same percentage of chrome as ever. That's why I'd like to know what this mystery poison supposedly is. At this point, it's about like saying "evil spirits will be released".
