95% of the time if something is on Ebay & it's popular, every man & dog is emailing & trying to get the seller to divulge his reserve & often trying to get him/her to stop the auction. For numerous reasons, sellers often are in need of money or don't see enough bidding action & decide to stop the auction & sell early. This mostly started when snipe bidding became the norm. Guy puts an MU2 winch for sale with a starting bid of $50. 5 days go by & I'm the only bidder & so the bid is still at $50. I email the guy & tell him I really want the winch & what will he sell her for. Seller says there's no way in hell he's letting it go for $50...he's into it for $200! Will you stop the auction for $200 then? "Sure...what the heck...no interest in the damn thing."
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Ken W has already programed his snipe bid of $1107 on www.bidnapper.com/. Joe C is chomping at the bit & no way in hell is he letting that thing get away but he'll bid in the last 20 seconds just to be sure nobody runs his bid up.
You get the drift?
See you next month!
