I have a good friend who is a lawyer (yeah, I know, but only one lawyer friend!)
He said A LOT of his time is spent working on making insurance companies pay what they OUGHT to be paying. He has very little use for them, and tells me that they are masters at trying to wiggle out of paying off even when they have a legitimate claim.
That said, I personally have had very good experiences with State Farm over the last 30 years.
