OT / border security question

My 16-year-old daughter, with US passport, will be travelling to Canada with a 30-year-old man, (her horse trainer,) to look at a horse.

Will she encounter any hassle at the border, seeing that she's a minor, travelling with a non-related adult?

Will any type of additional document reduce the hassle?

Thanks for any insight you can shed. Please answer privately, so as not to clog the drivel filters.
