Dodges read about 88 ohms empty. The unit I grabbed out of a 76 ford read 77 ohms, until I bent the stop to allow more travel, now reads 87. Then bend the float arm to make up the indifference. Oh, bend the 'full' stop too, you probably don't want the float banging on the top of the tank.

New tanks may vent through a charcoal canister, rather than through the cap as on old dodges. Rollover valves depend on having a vent system. But I suspect they are on electric, submersed pumps, not on the older tanks you want to put into the Dodge.

Understand whatever system before tinkering.
