For many years I have been using a plastic square 4 gal gas can with a 5/16 steel fuel line + vent epoxyed to the top.It has served me well and it can be secured just about anywhere.I recently used it on my C J 7 to run it around locally while I was waiting for a new tin tank to arrive UPS.Seeing that most of the cust work I do in my repair shop consists of late model junk + I do a lot of intank + fuel pump repair I fabricated up the same style portable tank but with a hi pressure Ford frame rail pump mounted to the side of plastic tank + with a return line as in a injected system fuel is constantly circulating I am able to drive a vehicle in + out of my shop rather than push or back it onto my lift .I have assembled quite a kit of fittings + adapters to transfer fuel from original lines to my portable tank safely .WHEN WORKING WITH GASOLINE + ELECTRICITY ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GLASSES + BE VERY CAREFULL
