I used to have a 47' 3 ton dodge semi tractor that had one of those engines in it. It was a good running truck, was still 6 volt and actually started effortlessly even in winter weather. I remember that the engine block had "Chrome Nickel Crankshaft" emblazened on the side just above the oil pan flange on the left side. Mine also had dual 1 barrel carbs (not stock). The intake manifold was aluminum and said "Nickerson Engineering, California" on it. I believe that this engine would be way too long to put in a PW. Also it would be very heavy. Mine really liked gas too! It also had a very big radiator and needed it. Thanks for the memories.
