I have a 79 W150 with NP203 T-case. I lost the U-joint in the front drive shaft yesterday afternoon. I assumed that the truck would be operable without the front drive if the T-case differential was locked out. The truck didn't budge.
The linkage appears to be properly adjusted. The previous owner apparently ran the truck without the front shaft for some period of time. When I got it both drive shafts were in the bed and the bolt holes in the pinion yoke were filled with mud. Could the problem be anything that doesn't require rebuilding the transfer case?
