Earl: The civilian Power Wagons began production in October, 1945 as 1946 one ton models. They never were sold as 3/4 ton models. It appears you have an old "new issue" or salvage title that uses the Power Wagon engine serial number (T137-104590) in place of the vehicle serial number (or VIN) stamped into the left front frame rail. Many rebuilt or salvage vehicles used an engine serial number as the VIN in the title way back in the old days (1940-50s). The 4312-11603 number is the model (4312 = closed cab) and serial number (11603rd closed cab made) for the Budd built closed cab; it is not a Dodge number. See if the engine serial number (left front of block) is T137-104590. If not, the engine has been replaced since the title was issued, likely long ago. Bottom line: I cannot tell you what kind of truck you have from the information you provided because the title information is not indicative of the vehicle. If you can describe it features in some detail, I may be able to make a guess as to what type of truck it is. Don't fret that the title may not perfectly identify the truck. Be thankfull the truck has a title and has been resurrected in the past to ride again. Congrats on your purchase.
