Today, I was talking with a manufactures rep regarding wiper motors. For a rep, he knew little......Except, a entirely new type of wiper motor is available that might be exactly what we are looking for. This is a wicked powerful wiper in a self contained package. I will be on the phone on Monday with the company.
The only info I have at this time is the following from the rep, and the picture he sent me;
# Direct Drive - inside out brushless DC phase three motor with a coaxial planetary gear box which drives the windshield wiper systems arms and blades, without the use of linkages. Rated at 40 newton meters or 29.5 foot pounds of torque
