Paul, I bought a JCWhitney Jap motor when I was doing my wipers. The motor is the same size as the American-Bosh and seems to have a lot of power. I didn't like the way the arm attached so I ended up using the 6 volt American Bosch motors because I like how the arm is attached with the nut, not a cheap little sheetmetal clamp. The motor probably could be retrofitted with a different shaft?
