After injury to heart muscle many problems arise. Arrhythmias are common, as is overload of the now damaged heart. The key is rest and SLOWLY increasing your activities. There will be changes in medicines, doses, and inevitable setbacks. Take nothing for granted, and voice any concerns to your doctor. It may seem like it takes forever, but most everyone gradually recover useful lives. Dave is not one to sit still, and I suspect that the hardest part of his recovery is easing up long enough to allow his heart to recover...
Hang in there, every day is a gift.
