GVW = Gross Vehicle Weight, includes truck cargo and passengers.
So you have approx. 1000 lbs or a 1/2 ton, after fuel and driver.
2500 would be a tad much for everyday use, OK for occasional use, but I guarantee that if you fill it up once, that will be the last and only time you want to do that to your brakes, tires and springs.
