I agree with mannyc, I have a 87 W250 I replaced the thermoquad with a Edelbrock 650 electric choke. At the time it was a bolt on and go then when gas started going up I called Edelbrock told the tech I wanted to increase mpg he told me what needle set and springs to use. worked out great for me also the edelbrock is very user friendly when changing out jets and springs
