AHH. Now I understand. You can't see the period, so you use the > which is on the same key as the period, and the shift key, at the same time.
So all you need to do now, realizing that the period and the carrot are on the same key, is not push the shift key, and a period will result. That will save you the extra effort of having to press the shift key with the other pencil.
I can sympathize, as I am afflicted with Peripheral Neuropathy, too. In my case, it is caused by a deficit of Vitamin B12, which my system cannot process.
And by the way, death threats don't scare me. My resume includes the words Viet Nam, Harlem, South Bronx, and East Germany.
