Eddie, one of my long-time friends and the guy who got me my first job in an auto shop, went to work there. They would seel everything John would, plus everything Midas would, all at once, all to the same customer, all without even inspecting the car. Their customers loved it. Seemed that if they had their last car in and it needed $800 worth of work, then if this one doesn't need at least $1200, then they just weren't getting a whole job. Oh baby, they got the whole job alright. Loved it too.

Eddie only stayed there two weeks. Just as long as it took to find another job. Last I heard, he had his own shop. Working on school buses.

Johns customers loved him too. Everybody is happy. Ethical? The same way a sadist loving a masochist is ethical. No complaints.
