If you got 50000 miles on original pads why would you replace them with other than original equipment same on rotors >when i do brakes 1) overhaul front calipers 2)replace all brake hardware pins bushings 3)replace front wheel bearings and seals 4)install oem parts (only once)5)check runout on rotors install oem pads 6)flush and bleed brakes> IF THE VEHIClE IS OVER 5 YEARS OLD CHANGE OUT THE FLEX LINES>rear brakes should be thourghly inspected at the same time >if the linings are worn or glazed now is the time>check wheel cylinders for any dampness or leaks >inspect axle seals for leaks, dampness and end play in bearings >sand out the drums and shoes remove the adjusters and wire wheel clean and applie a never sieze product >if you are changing out rear shoes the bare mininum is to replace the wheel cylinders or over haul them andthe hold down hard ware when you change the shoes >i prefer to adjust the rear brakes with the wheels off >i just get a better feel,a slight drag that is consistant and even that insures the lining and brake shoe contact is good and drums are true>clean and lube the parking prake cables and adjust if neccassary>it is law here in ontario that all wheels be torqued down in fact a licience is require for tire installers
