If you use a Signal-Stat 900 series kit, you don't have to rewire the cowl lights to make them work as combination turn signals/cowl lights. The Signal-Stat 900 kit is designed to do this internally by simply splicing a couple of wires. My original Signal-Stat instructions were found under the truck seat and will not scan well, but others here might have a scan that they can post.
It is kind of nice having the cowl lights also act as turn signals, but they are hard for oncoming drivers to see during the day with the clear bulbs and clear lenses.
