I still don't know why someone hasn't researched the production of Ethanol with Kudzu.

For those of you outside of the SouthEastern US, It is a F-A-S-T growing Asian vine introduced to the US by "well-intentioned government geniuses" (see definition of Oxymoron)to control erosion on steep banks created in road construction. It worked in erosion control, but the fact that it grows nearly 1 foot per day also meant that it swallowed trees, houses, abandoned cars and anything else in its path.

BTW, the same batch of government geniuses introduced the Asian lady beetle (Looks like an orange lady bug) into the US to control the pine aphids. They took care of the aphids, but without any natural predators their population has exploded causing migratory swarms of these pests, at least on the east coast.

The house that I recently moved from would have literally thousands of them on the exterior in the spring and fall and hundreds would make it in the house through the tiny cracks between the doors and windows. They bite you and put off a pungent odor and staining liquid if you smash, scare or vacuum them. Duct tape was the only way to get rid of them ... but that is another story.

Wonder why I'm skeptical of government intervention in ANYTHING?
