When I was 21, living in San Francisco, I had a 71 Ford F-100. It was a retired PG&E truck. A friend of mine got a job laying a brick patio. He called me up and asked if I would go with him to a brickyard to get the materials. No problem! We got to the yard and first we were directed to the sand. A loader dumped a big pile of sand in the bed, man did she squat! then we went to load up the bricks. I dont know what the weight was but the view from the cab sure was different. I had to drive clear across San Francisco, and when I would hit bumps, the front wheels would leave the ground. Talk about scarey! Not to mention STUPID!!! Fortunatly, my guardian angels were working overtime that day and we made it without mishap. I was sure glad to get that load off my truck.
