I just replaced a bad u-joint in my truck's front driveshaft the other day. After that the truck still had almost the same bad vibration. I got frustrated and removed the friont driveshaft and the vibration was gone. So I did some more investigating and found the new u-joint had play in it. The bearing caps didn't fit tight enough. Just poor quality control I guess. I've never had a bad u-joint in all the years I'e been playing with vehicles, has anyone here ever had a defective u-joint? Is it just the sign of the times? seems there are a lot of defective products out there these days. Like the new computer I bought that I had to send back because it was screwed up, and a thermostat that I put in my truck that never closed. What's going on these days with quality??
