There is an official exchange rate standard now, it's called the dollar.
I said IF the OPEC decides to switch to the EURO, we'll be screwed here, as that will overnight raise costs 33%, because the dollar is currently "weaker" than the EURO.
However, if we use domestic sources, such as ANWR, and we do not have to import Middle East oil, and pay in EURO's, the cost in dollars is the same.
I'm talking about how a weak dollar is an advantage to America, as long as we do not import commodities and goods.
I have no idea what the heck your annalogy* has to do with that....= )
