The mechanical contractor I know went through 4 6.5s in his box truck. I'm sure the beat the snot out of it in 200,000 miles, I don't know if they replaced or rebuilt them. one of them broke its crank shaft. They broke the springs on the truck as well so I know they didn't take care of anything. its probable that its cooling system was never cared for. I am going to check into that 97 chevy diesel.
