WillysTech is probably the most informative site you will find for Willys Jeeps, trucks, and wagons (www.willystech.com). Tell your friend to search their knowledge base for any tech questions he has as he is likely to find an answer. For the steering box, your friend should check Walck's 4 Wheel Drive (www.walcks4wd.com). Some other options are to google "the Jeepsterman" or check www.kaiserwillys.com, or www.willysamerica.com. Walck's is typically pretty reasonably priced and the Jeepsterman sometimes has hard to find parts.
