It's for sale Marty, buy it and rescue it or part it out like you said you would do in your post. Supply and demand, if the market is in the parts than the market is working. Right now the demand wasn't there for the price so the price came down hopefully to meet the demand. Right now this one isn't on the road, just sitting waiting for someone who loves this truck to drop an additional $15,000 to $20.000 plus freight to restore it.
I think with the economic times as they are today the cycle is turning against collectables, real estate, stocks, and restored vehicles as they did in the late 80's, early 90's. I may be wrong but that's my opinion. Getting premium prices for fixer uppers will soften, the parts and labor to accomplish the restoration will hold.
