Well, I didn't say it very well, but that's what I meant. The 4BT torque is about the same as a BB, V-8 gasser, stall speed adjusted for the lower rpm's it would do just fine. Adjusted correctly they don't slip.
The 6BT torque just ate up the early autos, too much heat was generated, the 4BT is much more mellow than a 6BT.
Later models, especially the new Aisin 6 speed autos are bullet proof.
