You can put the clear 3M film over the lens of each light. They use the same stuff to protect the paint on cars. It will stop the lens from breaking. I have in on the front of my new car. The dealer puts it on. I covers the lights and front of the hood and painted bumper. My son had it on the front of his truck. It protected the hood for 12 years. They pulled it off when when he accident damage last year. The film was kind of beat up from road rocks and etc but no paint chips at all under the film.
