I have 2 210s in farm trucks with Allisons. Works and runs good but a little short on top end power when loaded at 64,000 pounds. Mine is set to factory standards and with no turbo it will roll smoke like the Prince Of Darkness when taking off under heavy load and full throttle. Not so bad with partial throttle. Wish I had a turbo motor but I can't have everything I want. Get 3 to 5 MPG on short hauls.

If you leave it run in a spot like your photo you would fume out your crowd if there is not a wind, high exhaust may help, but so would gas, LP is much cleaner and we have one of those too, but some don't like it either.

Starting and stopping wears the starter and ring gear and stresses the motor some, but leaving it idle all day washes down the cylinders like a gasser. Look in any Dodge/Cummins manual and it states that you should shut it off if it will idle over 5 min.

Good luck, many options.
