I have never owned a 3208 but what I have heard it was a "cheap" engine and disposable 100,000 mile expected life then rebuild/replace it. I have 2 427's and love them. Both have over 200,000 miles and run flawlessly. Yes they do like there exaust manifolds. The newest stock chevy manifolds last longer than any others.
