As you said this tool is not intended as a brutal tool of last resort.
With that being said I could see this invention working to simply make it easier to take something apart. Theres times where you got to really put strength into it to get something off. While the nut is busted loose its still turning hard. This tool could ease up the effort required by your arm and that would be a good thing. The older and more broke down my body gets anything to make something easier is a good thing. Why stuggle and put forth lots of effort to take a nut off when you can clip this tool on and with less work of your arm use the extended lever of this to make it easier.
I do agree with the others that this tool would not work well in initially busting the nut loose.
