I agree with all that has been discussed. Now what if you got rid of the clips and had a forged or extruded "sleeve" replace them. I think the strength issue would be covered and the lever would be ergonomically acceptable. Your working with an intricate class 2 leverage principle. I have used interlocking open/box wrenches and the last pipe I used was on an 1 5/8" socket. I shattered the socket and took 18 stitches in my forearm. The forces exerted can be multiplied into the tons, depending on the lever's length. Thus APB's legal subject is very valid. Just a few thoughts is all. Keep up developing and good luck.
