Went to a big dinner followed by a panel discussion that included Laura Ingraham. Across the table (those big round 12 seaters) was an older fellow with a Marine Corp lapel pin. When coffee was served I figured I go sit next to him to say hello. He served 3 years in Korea, 2 purple hearts, 2 bronze stars, 1 silver star. He didn't say that, his wife did. 19 years old at the time. I didn't serve, but always try to ask vets about their service if I can. This man was so grateful that someone took the time to ask him about his service, and thanked me no less than 4 separate times during the night. So I just wanted to say it felt pretty good to make this veteran's night that much more enjoyable. So if you have a chance, ask a vet about his service, you might just make his day. Of course many of you are servicemen yourselves, so thanks for all you've done, are doing or will do. Military service was brought up during the panel discussion, which brought the loudest and longest applaud during the night. Nice to see.
