it is nice to see many gas to diesil conversions ,fuel savings, plenty of bottom end torque BUT one word of caution here in trucks with LOW axle gearing 4 to one or higher(greater reduction) a condition exists "overspeed" when decending long or steep grades and using the engine as a brake there is a possibilty that you can exceede the engines governed speed . most diesil engines turn quite a few hundred revolutions per minute slower than their gas counter part! i e the 230 flat head @3400 verses a BT say 2600 i have seen this happen many times especialy when working at the quarries and on dumps where long grades are present and have seen a few pick ups demod same way. install a decent tach it can save you a injection pump and a whole lot more! keep a eye on it when gearing down, you will see how fast that engine is turning, diesil trucks equipt with engine brakes are nice but same damage can occur IF YOU OVER SPEED !
