I just thought after I hit enter. Since the shaft does not turn, why not try a Anerobic Gap Filling Sealer ? I have some made by Permatex and market by NAPA. It comes in a tooth paste size tube, red in color. It requires the parts to be coated first be sprayed with a Activator. Its not cheap, the Anerobic Gap Filling Sealer and Activator cost just under $25. If your interested, I can get the NAPA numbers off the containers when I go to the shop tomorrow.
