I'm sure with the downturn in the economy you have some illegals going home but I'd be willing to bet that next Christmas, there'll be more in the US than there are tonight.
One thing I can tell you is that with all the purchases I make on Ebay, I've sent more cashiers checks to Mexican names than American names in the past few years. The Internet is their latest employer.
I'm sure there are tons of immigrants that resort to crime...that's what I'd do if the option was to head home to Mexico!
You could be right...it might be easier to resolve than I'm thinking but I'm not holding much hope that your goverment is intending to even address the situation in any sort of an aggressive manner.
So far their efforts have been about as successful as their war on drugs.
You better run for Pres Norm...you make it all sound easy!
