a wdx is rated as a 1 ton... where the wcs where 1/2, 3/4 and 1.5 ton.. n so where the vcs as 1/2 ton. when im around "normal" people i refer all the wc n vcs n civis pw as powerwagons.. even the IH m-2-4. n oshkosh as the super powerwagon, just to make it easier on my self and the people im talking too..( not to confuse them) at least they aint calling them jeeps.. but when im at shows i refer to them by there real name.. wc53, wc62, vc1, wdx, wm300 (powerwagon) but yes the wdx (1946) "powerwagon" was designed after the wc53 (winch) because thats what all the GIs asked for.. one like they drove during the war.
