conversion radiator hose

what have y'all used on your lower radiator hose when doing a v 8 conversion? it has to turn 90 degrees to avoid the harmonic balancer, and it is 2 different sizes.i tried a universal hose but it acts like it will kink, and i believe with suction it will. i sure would appreciate and advice. im getting close.
