No matter which way you try and spin it, it always cost more to move air with an electrical motor than one driven off the motor directly. Same reason why electric cars pollute more than gas or diesel ones. The electricity has to come from somewhere, fossil fuel powered plants. The 6hp gain is only for a short while, until the battery starts straining the alternator.
