Arthur, I hope I made it clear it was strictly my opinion. You're in the business and I'm not, and you know what your customers do with them. I'm certainly not saying you're wrong to convert them. I'm just saying it doesn't make sense to me.
But as for there being "so many of them" that nobody in 100 years will decry what we do with them, that's what they used to say about Willys Jeeps, CCKWs, DUKWs, etc. Heck, it's what they used to say about big trees in my neck of the woods, back when it took 6 logging trucks to haul one of them out of the woods.
Anyway, no offense intended. I was just rambling about my opinion. I have 2 good M35s that I use pretty regularly for all kinds of things, and the chopped version wouldn't work at all for my purposes. Others obviously have different needs.
