Thanks for your comments. Sorry I didn't have time to tell the story of this truck early. Back in 1971 when I got out of the Army I found a 41 wc 12 that was owned by a local farmer, he sold it for 100.00 and it became my daily driver for several years. As times got better and my kids grew up my son and I did a frame off resto on the wc that also seemed to take several years then we started driving it in parades and it was a big hit. A few years ago I arranged to have the farmer and some other ww2 vets drive it in our local parade and they won a first place.

The farmer Don Herndon of Culdesac wanted to show me another truck he had on his place, turned out to be the 53 Power Wagon. He just said looks like you are ready for another project and handed me the title and helped me load it.

It's hard to explane my suprise and the feeling of humility that came with his generous gift. They claim that 1100 ww2 vets are dying every day but thier legacy will live on.
