Hey guys,

Thanks for the suggestions they really helped solve my problem with my old Power Wagon not running right.

We tried to adjust the timing, as we found it to be off a little bit, but when we loosened the distributor locking plate we couldn't move the distributor at all. the nut will loosen and we also found another nut next to the block and loosened both but still nothin'. Distributor will not rotate left or right and no movement at all. Feels like the the distributor is frozen in it's clamp or holder. Any suggestion freeing it up without tearing the whole engine apart?
Checked the compression all numbers were even all the way through. Pulled the Cap off and rotor off and checked for cracks and wear found a little oxidation and corrosion cleaned them up and put them back on and ordered new ones which will be installed tomorrow night. Checked the plug and found them in terrible condition so we went and replaced them and gapped them right. Truck runs a hundred percent better, but still has some hesitation when you put your foot into a little above idle, but then accelerates just fine after that. No missing, Runs great going down the road and way better gas mileage. Any suggestions on getting rid of the hesitation? I am thinking the carb is getting a little tired Could this be a problem? Should I think about finding a new carb or do another rebuild on it? While we were at it we changed the oil and did a general service on her, which I haven't had time to do in a long while so I am sure that helped too.

Thanks for the help!!

Chris Becker
