You'll need to put one stud in at top or bottom, I don't' remember. But you can't put a bolt through one of the holes, you'll need to put the stud in first thing.

Silicone is probably the universal sealer theses days. The stuff in big tubes at home Depot is as good as the stuff in little tubes from the auto parts store. Unless you want to spring for the hypermmfmfmfm stuff.

I've always thought black looked more professional than blue.

Remember to put sealer on the threads of any fastener that goes into a through-hole, or it will leak up the threads.
