gas tank

I was about to take my tank to moyers for refurbushing,when I noticed that the fill cap screws directly to the top of the tank not a filler neck out the side. This would mean filling thru a hole in the bed floor. Not sure what I want for a bed yet. Its a very solid tank, just needs a good clean n paint. Anyone have any sugestions ?
