Hello.

I bought some of the Eastwood tank sealer for use on my Willys Wagon. Although that project is on hold for a while (so I can't attest to its durability), I can give some information on applying it. The cleaning method involves muriatic acid and their 'metal ready'; this does a good job of cleaning it. You then use acetone to help dry the tank out. You then pour the liner into the tank and slosh it around until it coats the inside and let dry.

Be sure that the inside of your tank is completely dry before putting on the liner. I had trouble drying my tank because the neck stuck about an inch into the tank and didn't allow water to be poured out completely. Mine pealed severely and so I'll have to do it again.
