That .50 Barrett is one helluva gun. I presume an FMJ bullet explodes on impact. The nearest thing I have to that muzzle velocity is a .300 Weatherby - 3200 fps. I put a muzzle break on it before I ever shot it. It doesn't kick much at all. It's my favorite rifle for deer hunting.
