The best metal tends to be in the western part of the state, away from the ocean.
I am guessing you are near the gulf? Things tend to rust from the top down around there.
Go inland, and then try and find something with less rust and dents. The cost of transport will more then make up for the effort of replacing the roof on the truck you found.
You might want to see if you can buy this truck anyway, as you are more likely to find a truck without a bed, and if you can get this one for $1,000 or so it might make a great parts truck.
