You got that right. The trouble is sometimes the new people get the ear of the country commissioners. That happened here last year. Guy bought cheap houses up one of the canyons, fixed them up a little and listed them for high prices, then got the county to force the people who didn't sell out to him to clean up their "junk". He actually told me to my face that he was doing everybody a favor. Shortly afterwards his own just-finished house burned to the ground. He blamed on "meth-heads", but I'm not so sure. I don't know anything about it either way, but it occurs to me that no matter how much money a guy has, if you move into a place and start harassing the people who were there first, you've got to expect that some people might not take it real well.

As for the snow, how much do you have now? It's been snowing hard all day, probably a foot on top of the foot and a half we had yesterday. I've been driving the Tucker around town. The M37's snowed in at my cabin and the M43 has the manifold off, or I'd be driving it. Winter was slow to arrive this year but it looks like it's here now. Took my friend's 6-year old grand-daughter for a ride in the Tucker yesterday. The snow on the ridge was so soft it was over the tops of the tracks and the lower headlight was buried, but the Tucker kept on going just fine. The roads up there are getting pretty drifted over and there were quite a few trees across the road once we got down into the timber. I'd say there's probably 6' of snow up top yesterday and I imagine another 2' now.
