A couple more things to be aware of.

The 318 and 360 oil pan are different. If you find a 360 car motor you may need to buy the 360 truck style oil pan for axle clearance. The 318 oil pick-up tube will work fine in the 360 as long as it matches the oil pan, i.e. car vs. truck. I did this same swap and one of the steel motor mounts (not the rubber isolator) was different on the 360. I think it was the passenger side but it's just been too long for me to be sure. Check the factory parts books to find out for sure. Sounds like you have an auto transmission. Just for info. purposes, if you use a 360 auto engine with a straight drive trans. you have to have the pilot bushing machined to fit the crankshaft. I couldn't find one anywhere that would fit as is. Not a big deal, just more $$$$.
